Keegan Rogers selected to the Region IV Regional Team

Portland Christian Re-claims District 2

Portland Christian defeated Open Door Christian Academy on October 26th 2-0 to wrap up the District #2 title with an 8-0 record. This season marks the third consecutive year that the Royals have ran through District #2 without a loss. Team defense has been the huge for the Royals throughout league play. The Royals allowed just 3 goals total, and only one against starting goal keeper Keegan Rogers.

Mike Flannigan Takes A "Sabbatical"

 

After nearly a quarter century, there won't be a Flannigan vitally involved in the Woodburn Bulldogs' boys soccer program. Mike Flannigan, coach for the last ten years, is taking what he termed "Something of a sabbatical. I'll take at least a year off."

 

Prior to his ten year stint as head coach, his father, Brian, led the Bulldogs for 11 years. Before that, current Athletic Director Greg Baisch coached for a couple years, culminating with an appearance in the 1987 state championship game. Mike Flannigan was the goalie for that team.

Royals Thrill Crowd to a First Round Victory

Portland Christian 14-1-2 and Riverdale 13-2-1 both entered the day with hopes of running deep into the state soccer playoffs. Each assembled solid season records while playing good competition throughout the year (including playing each other in a pre-season 1-1 tie).

The Portland Christian Royals do it again!

The boys soccer team from Portland Christian has re-asserted themselves as a powerful force in high school boys soccer. The Royals completed their second straight District #2 championship run on Monday defeating the North Clackamas Christian Saints.
